I’m starting a new job!

I’m excited to announce that I have recently accepted an invitation from Sun Valley Community Church to join their Executive and Teaching Teams. So that means the Alexander Family is officially moving back to Arizona!

Sun Valley is an incredible church located in Gilbert, AZ a suburb of Phoenix, an area otherwise affectionately known as the East Valley. It’s a young and growing church of 4,000 that is in the process of moving to multiple campuses. And while it’s a cool church and a great fit for our family, that’s not what first drew our hearts to this place. Sun Valley’s a community of people who are crazy about those who are far from God, they are in love with God’s Word, they’ve got a clear philosophy of ministry and values in place that a distinct culture has been developed out of, and there’s a leadership culture in place among the Staff. And above all of that, this place is filled with grace…it’s safe. People can walk in exactly as they are and experience the love of God expressed through His people. I know a lot of churches like to say those kinds of things about themselves…but guys this is real. We’re really excited about being a part of a healthy team and a church that is well positioned for some special things!

In my new role I will be providing leadership to the GROW, SERVE, and GO areas of ministry at the church as well as participating in the teaching rotation in the Weekend Services!

Lisa and I are thrilled to be joining the Sun Valley Team! The whole Alexander Family is ready to move back to Arizona and dig into this next season of ministry.
